The Only Taxes You'll Be Excited to See:

Adding Taxes to the Online Store

With the release of Version 6.10, you can now apply sales tax or VAT to online store purchases. In this initial implementation, you can choose whether to apply the default tax settings to online store purchases.

If you do enable taxes for your online store, your customers will see a separate line entry for the tax in their shopping cart and on the confirmation screen. If they choose to be invoiced, the taxes will also appear on the emailed invoice.
